Mother Nature's Glory

Towering Mountains rise above
the dawn of sunsets eve.
Mother Nature takes her brush
and paints the sky we see.
Hints of purple, orange and red
whisp across the sky.
Twilight now is closing in,
night is drawing nigh.

Then as darkness blankets o'er
the pastel painted sea,
stars echo heav'nly light,
rich, and full, and free.
Brightly shining so it seems
you'd catch one if you try,
glimmering ever so far away, yet seeming oh so nigh.

As the sun begins to rise
and dawn breaks darkness hold,
mountains stand against the light
looming strong and bold.
Clouds of soft and fluffy white
dance around their peaks,
wafting through the conifers,
that grow on mountains steep.

So precious are these gifts to us
that we should stop and say,
thank you to the Most High God,
who is with us every day.
